We improved the employability of women victims of gender violence in Sacaba (Bolivia).

In the municipality of Sacaba , in Cochabamba (Bolivia) , we are launching the project “Improving the employability of women victims of gender violence .” This initiative is driven by the Foundation of Religious for Health (FRS) and the Vincentian Secular Missionaries (MISEVI) , together with Cáritas-Sacaba Social Pastoral , and co-financed by the Xunta de Galicia , to strengthen the autonomy and rights of women.

Since September 1, 2025 , we have been working to facilitate access to employment and self-employment for women victims of violence. The project is based on three fundamental pillars: technical and professional training, legal and psychosocial support, and community awareness campaigns against gender-based violence, developed through the Women’s Support Center (CAM) in Sacaba.

“This space restores our confidence and opens up new opportunities,” shared one of the participants after the first workshop. Likewise, the attendees highlighted the team’s close support and their motivation to continue their training and build a more secure future for themselves and their families.

In this new phase, we support the women of Sacaba in accessing decent and sustainable employment , while simultaneously strengthening a social transformation based on equality and respect. We are committed to communities where gender-based violence has no place and where women can choose their own path with autonomy and hope.
