The training for the new Equality Agents, framed within the project “Resources and Livelihoods for the Care of Women Victims of Gender Violence” , developed together with the European Union, has been very well received.
The event was attended by the Secretary General, the Regional Delegate and the National Director of the Ministry of Gender Equality, Social Affairs and Handicrafts (MIGASA) , as well as the team from the Religious Foundation for Health (FRS) in Equatorial Guinea, and was a great success.

The opening seminar, aimed at social workers with the goal of improving the care, intervention and referral of cases of gender violence, took place at the Cultural Center of Bata.
This training will take place during the first and second week of November, and will have a second stage planned for February.
The program aims to train the country’s first class of Equality Agents , appointed by district through MIGASA, through specialized training in:
- Promoting gender equality
- Prevention of violence against women and girls
- Care, intervention, information and referral services
The training will take place over two months in a blended format (combining online and in-person sessions). In total, there will be 24 days of instruction , divided into two two-week blocks.

In addition, the training process includes the participation from Spain of Isabel Melchero Loreto , an expert in equality and gender violence, who will participate as a guest speaker.
